Privacy Policy

Practice Master AS ("Practice Master", "we", "us", or "our") provides the PracticeMaster mobile application.

PracticeMaster helps musicians track practice sessions, use a metronome, save private recordings, set goals, earn achievements, and participate in friends, groups, and challenges.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the current app. Recordings are private-only at launch and are not shared publicly through the app.

PracticeMaster is made for general musicians. It can also be used by children under 13 with parent or guardian consent where required by law.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us at support@practicemaster.no so we can help review or delete the account.

Account Information

• Email address.
• Username.
• Display name.
• Optional profile photo URL.
• Account authentication identifiers.

Practice And Progress Information

• Practice session start and end times.
• Total practice time.
• Practice history and calendar data.
• Streaks, goals, XP, levels, achievements, medals, and challenge progress.
• Group and member leaderboard totals.

Recordings

• Recording file.
• Recording title.
• Duration.
• File size and file type.
• Optional notes or tags.
• Date created and updated.

Recordings are private-only at launch and are intended for your own review. The app requests microphone access only when you choose to record audio.

Friends, Groups, Organizations, And Invitations

• Friend requests and friendship status.
• Group and organization memberships.
• Roles such as owner, admin, manager, or member.
• Group and organization names, descriptions, and visibility settings.
• Invitation email addresses and invitation status.
• Practice leaderboard information visible to relevant group or organization members.

Notifications

• Push notification token.
• Device platform, such as iOS or Android.
• Notification registration timestamps.
• Local reminder preferences stored on your device.

Notifications may be used for practice reminders, goal reminders, and social updates such as friend requests. You can disable notifications in your device settings.

PracticeMaster may show lesson or play-along video content. Some videos may be provided through third-party platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, or custom video providers. Those providers may process information according to their own privacy policies when you view their content.

• Advertising identifiers for tracking.
• Browsing history outside PracticeMaster.

• Create and manage accounts.
• Provide practice sessions, metronome-related session tracking, recordings, goals, challenges, achievements, and progress features.
• Store and play back private recordings.
• Provide friends, groups, organizations, invitations, and leaderboards.
• Send optional notifications.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors.
• Respond to support requests.
• Improve the app experience.

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we process personal information based on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract, to provide the app and account features.
• Consent, for optional features such as microphone access, notifications, and child use where required.
• Legitimate interests, such as securing, maintaining, and improving the app.
• Legal obligations, where we must comply with applicable law.

We may share information in the following limited situations:

• Service providers: We use Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend functionality. We use Expo services for push notification delivery when notifications are enabled.
• Other users: Some profile, friend, group, organization, invitation, challenge, and leaderboard information may be visible to users who are connected to you through the app. Private recordings are not shared with other users at launch.
• Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the service.
• Business transfers: If Practice Master AS is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information.

PracticeMaster uses service providers such as Supabase to store app data and recordings. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including authentication and encrypted transmission where supported by our providers.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe your account or data may be at risk, contact support@practicemaster.no.

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your account or personal information by contacting support@practicemaster.no. We may need to retain limited information where required by law, for security, or for legitimate business records.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access your personal information.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account or personal information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Request a portable copy of your information.

To make a request, contact support@practicemaster.no. You can also manage some information directly in the app, such as profile details, notification settings, goals, and recordings.

PracticeMaster asks for microphone permission only when you choose to record audio. If you deny microphone access, you can still use other practice tracking features, but audio recording will not work.

You can change microphone permission in your device settings.

PracticeMaster asks for notification permission only when notifications are needed for optional reminders or updates. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. When required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app or by other appropriate means.
